PhD funding available: Funding is available to provide tuition and stipend support for PhD students. Potential funding sources can be found here. Successful  applicants will have an outstanding academic record (usually 1st class honours degree or good 2i and credit/distinction at MSc/MRes level) as well as demonstrated potential/ability to conduct independent research. The ‘Research’ and ‘Publications’ tabs provide examples of current lab research themes. MRes students: If you are interested in pursuing a research career a Masters by Research can be an excellent platform to gain skills and experience before going on to a PhD. IBERS offers an MRes Biosciences, if you are interested in undertaking the research component of an MRes in this lab please contact Pippa with your CV and a brief one-page outline of your research interests. Undergraduate Research Assistants: We take on three undergraduate research assistants in our lab each year. They contribute to a wide range of projects and learn a range of skills and techniques used by professional scientists. Generally the RA’s are expected to contribute 4-6 hours per week during term time and all work is designed to fit around the RA’s timetable.
